My youngest grandchild (my son't first child and only a few months old) has been in hospital overnight in the UK. Seems he had some sort of spasm, threw up everywhere and his lips went blue for a while. His blood pressure shot up and so the doctors are keeping him in overnight for observation. We're obviously all a bit worried.

Windsor went along to the dept of broadband...where they seem to have filled his head with slogans and 'populist platitudes'...all detailed in a Sunday paper today...and he thinks Gillard-Labor's stupid broadband scheme costing many tens of billions of dollars is just wonderful.

So you can take it as given he'll be siding with Labor.

We can get the same result for $3 billion.....

The US is not doing Labor's stupid broadband idea...costs too much...and the world is going wireless.

Kevin Morgan...broadband expert told all:

http://www.2gb.com/

Kevin Morgan on the future of broadband in Australia. Audio here

>>>>> >>>>>

Close the lion ad, then move your mouse up a few inches, and click on the Kevin Morgan interview.

Yes, Gillard-Labor's broadband plan is one giant CROC!

You have to spend thousands rewiring your house, buy a new computer, pay more, to get Gillard-Labor's broadband.

Gillard-Labor will be laying a cable past every home in Australia...LOL
Too bad most city people already have broadband, eh! :D

Samsung and Intel are launching a new satellite in 2012...high speed wireless broadband.

Gillard-Labor's stupid scheme will be a giant white elephant before it's even finished...the take-up rate will be low, and it'll just be another of Labor's expensive flops.

YOU pay again! [and so do I, unfortunately.]

Windsor backs Labor on broadband

IN A blow to the Coalition, key independent Tony Windsor has backed Labor's $43 billion national broadband network, criticising the opposition's cheaper alternative as a ''retrograde policy'' that would create a digital backwater in rural Australia.

Mr Windsor told The Sunday Age he believed Labor's national broadband network was the better of the two policies.

Mr Windsor, who was briefed by senior officials from the Department of Broadband last week, said he had been convinced that ''you do it once, you do it right, you do it with fibre''.

>>>>> >>>>>

LOL

Or...'you do it once, you do it wrong, you do it with fibre, and waste squillions of taxpayers' money, and then 'no one' wants it. 'no one' can afford it, as/and they all want wirelsss broadband they can take anywhere".

Yes, dopes and no-ideas abound among the ruling elite.

Kevin Rudd's wife Therese Rein helps Labor charm Bob Katter

KEY independent Bob Katter spent hours in the Canberra home of Kevin Rudd and Therese Rein as the battle to win his support continues.

The three Queenslanders reminisced about when the Kennedy MP was a state Opposition MP and Mr Rudd worked for Queensland Premier Wayne Goss.

"Even Therese has been there. But I have been quite genuinely surprised at the intensity of [Mr Rudd]," Mr Katter said.

With Port Macquarie MP Rob Oakeshott said to be leaning to the ALP, Julia Gillard must secure one more independent to form government.

During a phone hook-up yesterday at 3.30pm, all three independents agreed to do whatever it took to avoid triggering another election.

No agreement was reached on who they would support, but with Mr Oakeshott leaning towards Labor, at least one of the other two would need to lock in behind him to avoid a possible 75-all deadlock and a new poll.

>>>>> >>>>>

Why don't they just come right out and say they're all Labor Party supporters masquerading as Conservatives to get votes and be done with it?

Bob Katter, Rob Oakeshott and Tony Windsor want last chat with Julia Gillard and Tony Abbott

>>>>> >>>>>

Maybe they could ask Joolia to explain ALL the details and costing of her stupid white elephant National Broadband plan.
...and who is gonna PAY the costs, hundreds of millions of dollars, of changing all the poker machines to please 'independent' Wilkie form Tas, whose wife was allegedly one of Joolia's policy advisers...lol

It'll send some smaller clubs broke.

On a more humorous note.
Tim Blair's blog is worth a read for a really funny look at the situation.
Also have a look at the comments.
Here's one example.
Quote
I love a stable country,
a land of yapping greens;
of loony independents
and backroom Labor schemes.

I love her knifed Prime Minister
and his replacement, real and fake.
So many odd ingredients
that I’m not sure about the cake....

Are you?

People perhaps you should all look on the bright side of this situation! For the last 2 weeks at least no government has been able to screw anything up in the National Arena!Sure they havent fixed anything but they were never likely to anyway.
No action  = No Harm and frankly given the 2 party system  I could live with a caretaker crippled and undecided govt for quiet a while!

Tony Abbott gave the Independents a package of parliamentary reforms...one week BEFORE the election.

The same package of reforms the Independents are now spruiking and lauding as their own work.

See them mention Tony Abbott anywhere regarding the reforms?

No!

The 3 stooges will fit right in sitting over there with Gillard-Labor-Greens and all their Left-wing media friends.
There should be room to park their trojan horses outside.

Abbott and the Liberals-Nationals are being held to a much higher standard of costings proof by the media [mostly a Labor cheersquad] than Labor-Greens are.

No one should be in the least bit surprised.  :D
